Patrick, a football analyst and pundit based in the United States, is the International Coordinator of the Duamenefa Regional Tournament, while Michael, a former Ghana Black Stars player, is the tournament’s official player agent.

The Duamenefa Regional Tournament is an initiative of Fafaa 100.3 Fm, a private commercial radio station in the Volta Region’s Dzodze Ketu North Municipality, with backing from its NGO, the Duamenefa Foundation.

Mr. Amponfi Kwami Jnr., the National Sports Authority’s immediate previous Regional Director, raised the competition to its current regional status.

Duamenefa is a social intervention NGO, made up of over 28,000 registered and certified volunteers spread across various communities in the Volta Region with the mandate to promote peaceful coexistence, thus the tournament was launched in 2017 to unearth the hidden talents embedded in the youth and to promote same to the next level through national and international scouts.

The tournament is generously supported and patronized by His Eminence Person Hon. Francis Albert Nyonyo, Council of States Member at the President’s Office, Dr. James Klutsey Avedzi, Member of Parliament representing the Ketu North Constituency, Mr. Anthony Avorgbedor, Municipal Chief Executive of Ketu North, Ghana Football Association, National Sports Authority, Regional Athletics Association, MMDCEs Traditional Rulers, and the General Public.

Over 30,000 spectators, comprised of the Duamenefa Foundation’s 28, 000 volunteers and important stakeholders, are always available to honor the event.

Mr. Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe, Executive President of the Duamenefa Foundation and Chief Executive Officer of Fafaa Fm, Dzodze, told the press that this year’s tournament will be used to empower over 28,000 peace-building volunteers of the Foundation and their 1,200 officials who will serve on the board as community leaders in over 220 Volta Region targeted communities.

The 2022 edition is headlined by Mr. Gabriel Kwamigah Atokple, CEO of Tanko Foundation, with assistance from Mr. Kwakuvi Houlesodji, CEO of Infinity Stars Hotel and Infinity Den Enterprise.
