AGI pledges to support GYER

Chairman of the Eastern, Volta and Oti Regions chapter of AGI, Dela Gadzanku says the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) will support the Ghana Young Entrepreneurial Roundtable (GYER) in striving to help create jobs.

Ghana Young Entrepreneurial Roundtable (GYER) is a cross section of recognized young entrepreneurs and business leaders driven by the passion to accelerate Ghana’s contribution toward the attainment of the globally resolved Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

According to Mr. Gadzanku, committed young entrepreneurs in Ghana can help develop the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) if they get the necessary support and resources at the right time to progress.

Dela Gadzanku

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. The 17 SDGs are integrated; that is, they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability. Through the pledge to Leave No One Behind, countries have committed to fast-track progress for those furthest behind first. That is why the SDGs are designed to bring the world to several life-changing ‘zeros’, including zero poverty, hunger, AIDS and discrimination against women and girls.

At a Round-table discussion held at Sylver Star Tower, Accra on the 28 February, 2020, he encouraged the upcoming and young entrepreneurs not to relent in the quest to help boost the private sector.
