Child right international will protect the dignity of children – Bright kweku Appiah

Executive director of Child Right International (CRI), Bright kweku Appiah has expressed his worry on actions of the individual that degrade the dignity of children and says the organization will not hesitate to bring to book or take legal action against anyone that will be found culpable in the act which intends to derail the existence of any fundamental human right which affects the wellbeing of the children. This follows the recent trends on various social media platforms about teachers filming children when they are unable to perform as expected of them. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday on the theme “Recognizing children’s right to privacy and promoting their dignity”; Mr. Appiah says, Teachers are trained professionally and it is expected of them to act as one.

On the sidelines of the event, Mr Appiah told raylizaonline that they will require the help of National Communication Authority (NCA) to limit the extent to which children are exposed to information on the social media.
